The popular open-source alternative to Adobe Illustrator/Affinity Designer, Inkscape, has just been updated to version 1.4. It is a great vector graphics application available on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
The toolkit has received several new functions, among which the following can be highlighted:
- Added modular grids, as well as improvements to axiomatic grids.
- Added new dialog boxes.
- An experimental unified font browser and SVG font editor.
- Customizable node editor handles.
- Shape Builder is capable of extracting areas of raster graphics.
- The dialog boxes for attributes and properties of objects have been merged.
- Ability to open Affinity Designer documents.
- New set of icons “Dash”
